《在英倫的漂油》

前幾天在讀【建築家 安藤忠雄】 時，看到了一個很喜歡的句子與一首詩與大家分享。都是三得利集團第二代調酒師-佐治敬三常和安藤忠雄說的。

一句話：
「無論如何，人生不可能無趣,在拚事業的階段，試著保持興奮感去過日子吧！不會感動的人是無法成功。」

一首詩節錄的句子：

「青春不是人生的一段時光，青春是一種心境‧」 （Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind）By Ullman

由於覺得這首詩實在太美了。我就去查詢了一下

發現這首詩是在詩人Samuel Ullman於近80歲時才寫下的，就算是年屆古稀之年的他仍秉持著保持一顆永遠永遠對於世界的熱忱，是多麼不容意的一件事！

也難怪相當喜歡這首詩的麥克阿瑟將軍，不僅在演說中時常引用《Youth》詩文中的句子，也因其負責對日軍事佔領和日本的重建工作，在日本政要中有著卓越的影響力，很快就使得此詩風靡了全日本，激勵了日本國民，成為日本全民上下重建國家、重塑民生的精神動力。這樣流傳下來影響了安藤忠雄與更多更多人們！

讓我們都把天線拉長，接收那些滋潤，就永遠不老。

YOUTH by Samuel Ullman (1840-1924)

Youth is not a time of life—it is a state of mind.
It is not a matter of red cheeks, red lips and supple knees.
It is a temper of the will; a quality of the imagination; a vigor of the emotions;
it is a freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a tempermental predominance of courage over timidity,
of the appetite for adventure over a life of ease.
This often exists in a man of fifty, more than in a boy of twenty.
Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years;
people grow old by deserting their ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.
Worry, doubt, self-distrust, fear and despair—

青春不是年華，而是心境；青春不是桃面、丹唇、柔膝，而是深沉的意志，恢宏的想像，炙熱的戀情；

憂煩，惶恐，喪失自信，定使心靈扭曲，意氣如灰。

無論年屆花甲，擬或二八芳齡，心中皆有生命之歡樂，奇跡之誘惑，孩童般天真久盛不衰。

人人心中皆有一台天線，只要你從天上人間接受美好、希望、歡樂、勇氣和力量的信號，你就青春永駐，風華常存。

一旦天線下降，銳氣便被冰雪覆蓋，玩世不恭、自暴自棄油然而生，即使年方二十，實已垂垂老矣；

然則只要樹起天線，捕捉樂觀信號，你就有望在八十高齡告別塵寰時仍覺年輕
